The intent of the Pacific University Creighton Hall renovation project was to provide a more usable and adaptable space with the existing classrooms. Construction was spread between the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors of the post-tensioned cast-in-place concrete building and included multiple classrooms, break out rooms, and a compounding pharmacy.

A crane was used to bring five 40’ long steel I-beams into the upper levels of the existing structure. The I-beams were used as a structural upgrade to support the new foldable partitions, which created easily transformable learning spaces. The project created larger classrooms and lab spaces, as well as more breakout rooms for students.

Creighton Hall is located in the heart of the Pacific University Hillsboro campus. There was limited access and parking, a public transit line to the north and an Intermodel Transit Facility adjacent to the building. This required tight coordination of all the tenants and facilities staff to ensure the project was successful. Creighton Hall was on a difficult timeline of 2.5 months to complete the work during the summer break and be prepared for students arrival for the fall term. INLINE was successful in completing this project on time by working double shifts and weekends with extensive communication and collaboration with everyone involved.
